6.4.9 EXHIBIT I—Soils Information <br /> (1) In order to analyze the soil types on the Thompson Pit site, we created an Area <br /> of Interest (AOI) on the NRCS Web Soil Survey (WSS) website, we have <br /> developed specific soil maps for the project area in addition to the generalized <br /> soils information presented in Exhibit C. Those maps, with detailed soil <br /> descriptions for: <br /> • General Soils Units <br /> • Gravel Source <br /> • Farmland Classification <br /> • Hydric soils <br /> are attached herein. The portion of the site to remain unmined is considered <br /> moderately hydric and prime farmland if irrigated. Also included is a portion of the <br /> Olathe Quad geologic map indicating the source units for sand and gravel as Qau <br /> and Qau3 which are Holocene age river terrace gravels from the Uncompahgre <br /> River. <br /> Thompson Pit <br /> Exhibit I <br />
