The status of the Elk Creek Mine is "active"however no coal is being mined and the
only activity since the last inspection was site maintenance.
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE:
The pan liner had been moved from the upper pad of the Elk Creek facilities to the lower pad in
anticipation of a Phase III bond release application for the upper pad. The chain had not yet been moved.
Oxbow were exploring options to sell the sub-station on the upper pad. It was expected that the water tank would
support an industrial/commercial post-mining land use.
On the lower pad, Oxbow plan to reroute power to the office building directly from the water treatment facility
and remove the lower substation.
DOCUMENTS RECEIVED
N/A
OTHER(SPECIFY)
N/A
ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE
No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 2 of 4
