COLORADO <br /> a Division of Reclamation, <br /> Mining and Safety <br /> Department of Natural Resources <br /> 25 October 2022 <br /> Miranda Kawcak <br /> Moffat County Mining, LLC <br /> 29515 Routt County Road 427 <br /> Oak Creek, CO 80467 <br /> RE: Yoast Mine Permit; C1994082 <br /> Discharge Monitoring Reports(DMR's) DRMS Review 2022 Quarter 2 <br /> Dear Ms. Kawcak: <br /> The Division has received and reviewed the above referenced Discharge Monitoring Reports <br /> (DMRs), for the Yoast Mine. The DMRs were received by the Division on 22 September 2022 as <br /> electronic submittals. The report covers the time frame of April 2022 through June 2022 (Q2), for <br /> discharge monitoring as required by the discharge permit. <br /> Seneca Properties should submit the DMRs to the Division, in accordance with Rule <br /> 4.05.13(2)(a)(111), specifically within 30 days of sampling. The report submitted is in compliance <br /> with the applicable sections of the Rule. <br /> Yoast ponds sampled for DMRs comprised ponds: 910, 911, 912, 913 and 914. <br /> The outfalls discharging during this quarter comprised ponds 9013, 9012, 910. <br /> DRMS notes the following: <br /> Pond 913 during the Q2 reporting period registered pH values of 9.13 and 9.76; exceeding the <br /> maximum pH value of 9.0, and was flagged by WQCD. The pond was treated with AquaShade over <br /> the summer months. <br /> The Division has no further comments at this time.
