CO 80467 <br /> RE: Seneca Mine Permit; C1982057 <br /> Review: Sediment Pond Report 2022 Q2 <br /> Dear Ms. Kawcak: <br /> Thank you for your submittal of the 2022 quarter two Sediment Pond Report for the Seneca HW Mine. The <br /> Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (The Division), has reviewed the above referenced <br /> report. The report was received by the Division on 22 September 2022. Sediment pond inspections <br /> were conducted by Jason Herden of Seneca Coal Company on 20 June 2022. The report is in compliance <br /> with the applicable sections of Rule 4.05.9. <br /> No maintenance issues were noted during the inspection. All ponds hold water throughout the year. Pond <br /> 96 was discharging at 63 gallons per minute (gpm), Pond 915 was discharging at 2.1 gpm, Pond 916 was <br /> discharging at 97 gpm and Pond 917 was discharging at 78 gpm at the time of inspection. Sediment levels <br /> were acceptable. <br /> Thank you for the submission of the 2022 Q2 sediment Pond Report.
