COLORADO <br /> a Division of Reclamation, <br /> Mining and Safety <br /> Department of Natural Resources <br /> 25 October 2022 <br /> Miranda Kawcak <br /> Moffat County Mining, LLC <br /> 29515 Routt County Road#27 <br /> Oak Creek, CO 80467 <br /> RE: Seneca IIW Mine Permit; C1982057 <br /> DRMS Review of 2022 Quarter 2 Discharge Monitoring Reports(DMR's) <br /> Dear Ms. Kawcak: <br /> The Division has received and reviewed the 2022 quarter two Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs), for <br /> the Seneca IIW Mine. The reports were received by the Division on 22 September 2022 as electronic <br /> submittals. The reports cover the time frame of April 2022 through June 2022 (Q2), for discharge. <br /> Seneca IIW ponds sampled for DMRs comprise: Pond 5, Pond 6, Pond 9, Pond 15, Pond 16 and Pond 17. <br /> DRMS notes the following: <br /> O Pond 917 was within 0.5 of its maximum pH value of 9.0. <br /> O Pond#16 value for total recoverable iron was flagged as an exceedance by WQCD <br /> O Pond#15 was close to 0.5 of its maximum pH value of 9.0. <br /> O Pond#5 was within 0.2 of its maximum pH value of 9.0. <br /> Seneca Properties should submit the DMRs to the Division, in accordance with Rule <br /> 4.05.13(2)(a)(111), specifically within 30 days of sampling. The report is in compliance with the <br /> applicable sections of the Rule. <br /> The Division has no further comments at this time.
