<br /> <br />Notice of Proposed Decision <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has issued a proposed decision to approve <br />Bond Release Application No. 3 (SL-3) for the New Horizon North Mine, Permit No. C-2010-089. <br />The Division proposes to approve phase II release of 88.3 acres of land reclaimed to Irrigated <br />Pasture, 26.7 acres of land reclaimed to Dryland Pasture, and phase II and III on 3.7 acres of <br />reclaimed ditch at the north end of the permit reclaimed to Dryland Pasture. The surface operation <br />is operated by Elk Ridge Mining and Reclamation, LLC under the provisions of the Colorado Surface <br />Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release application was submitted by Elk Ridge <br />Mining and Reclamation, LLC on January 20, 2022. Elk Ridge Mining and Reclamation is <br />requesting Phase II bond release on 118.6 acres of irrigated pasture and dryland pasture, and Phase <br />III bond release on 3.7 acres of a reclaimed sediment control structure.
