Windsor East Mine, Exhibit J – Vegetation Information September 2022 <br /> P a g e 2 | 2 <br /> <br />Kim Loam, 1 - 3 percent (map unit 32) - A section of Kim Loam soils occurs in the northwest corner of <br />the property. These are deep , well drained soils on smooth plains and alluvial fans. These soils formed in <br />mixed eolian deposits derived from sedimentary rock. A typical surface layer is brown and pale brown <br />loam about 12 inches thick, underlain by pale brown loam and pale brown fine sandy loam to 60 inches. <br />Kim loam soils have moderate permeability and have high available water capacity. Surface runoff is <br />medium and erosion hazard is low. <br />Nunn Clay Loam, 0 - 1 percent (map unit 39) - This soil type occurs on the southwest side of th e site. <br />These are deep, well drained soils on terraces. They are formed in mixed alluvium. A typical surface layer <br />is grayish brown clay loam about 12 inches thick underlain by light brownish gray clay loam and brown <br />sandy loam to 60 inches. Kim loam soi ls have moderately slow permeability and high available water <br />capacity. Surface runoff is slow and erosions hazard is low. <br /> <br />4.0 ESTIMATE OF AVERAGE ANNUAL PRODUCTION <br />This section is not applicable for the Windsor East Mine site because reclaimed areas will n ot be used for <br />agriculture.
