All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. Bowie Resources, LLC proposes to continue underground coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located approximately 3 miles North of Paonia. The permit area is further described as follows: In all or portions of the following: Sections 1, 2, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23, 24, and 25 Township 13 South, Range 92 West of the 6th P.M. and Sections 17, 18, 19, 29, 30, 31, and 32 of Township 13 South, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M.. The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map(s): Gray Reservoir, Bowie. This application requests a renewa l of the permit for the Bowie No. 1 Mine. This renewal application does not propose r evisions to the approved mining and reclamation plan, nor is there any proposed surface disturbance outside of the currently approved disturbance area.
