8/29/22,8:24 AM State.co.us Executive Branch Mail-NOI application P2022014
STATE OF DRMS_CoalAdmin -DNR, DNR<dnr drms_coal_admin@state.co.us>
COLORADO
NOI application P2022014
1 message
Binns- DNR, Janet<janet.binns@state.co.us> Fri, Aug 26, 2022 at 1:03 PM
To: sglass@gaultgroup.com, laserfische <dnr—drms—coal—admin@state.co.us>
Hello Mr. Glass,
I have reviewed the application for an NOI, P2022014, for the La Plata Project. Due to some confusion when the application was
submitted, the Division has not received the initial financial warranty. I reviewed the proposed plan and have some additional questions
that may impact the required financial warranty required for the project.
In the application the location description references the 6th Principal Meridian. Please verify whether this should actually be the New
Mexico (or 10th) Principal Meridian, and correct if necessary.
The exploration plan calls for utilization of a helicopter to access two of the drill sites. It is the Division's practice to conduct a reclamation
cost estimate utilizing the descriptions that the operator provides. Please provide a cost for accessing drill sites 02 and 03 via helicopter.
Additionally, please confirm that the helicopter model used in the estimate has the capability to perform the required task at the altitude
proposed in the application (greater than 10,000 ft. elevation).
Thank you for your attention to these concerns.
Sincerely,
Janet Binns
Environmental Protection Specialist III
Active Mines Program
Mobile phone: 720-688-0626
P 303.866.3567 ext 8107 1 F 303.832.8106
Physical Address: 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203
Mailing Address: 1001 E 62nd Ave, Denver, CO 80216
janet.binns@state.co.us I https://drms.colorado.gov
gen© COLORADO
Division of Reclamation,
® Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
https://mail.google.com/mail/b/ALGkdOy8elLUpphO-cw_b4dRu9Vtn4AuagOgJnHOChhDjud92irb/u/O/?ik=deb7fOcd2O&view=pt&search=all&permthid=t... 1/1
