Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection by Leigh Simmons of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br /> (Division).Nicki Poulos of Mountain Coal Company (MCC) accompanied the inspection. The weather was clear <br /> and dry. The mine was active. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Records were available in the mine office using a publicly accessible computer,together with instructions <br /> for how to access records via the Division's laserfiche database. Records besides those uploaded to laserfiche were <br /> available on a flash drive (also with instructions). Details are given at the end of this report. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> Longwall mining was in progress in panel LWE14, at around cross cut 13 on the head gate. <br /> Development mining was in progress in the SS4 headgate,between cross cuts 7 and 8; and in the LWE15 <br /> tailgate at around cross-cut 6. <br /> A longwall move (to the SS3 panel)was tentatively scheduled to begin after Labor Day. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br /> Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> All remaining material had been transported from the temporary processing waste pile on the RPE to the <br /> RPEE. The surface of both piles was smooth and compact,with sufficient grade to ensure that water would run off <br /> rather than pond.No processing waste was being generated at the time of the inspection. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04: <br /> Coal stockpiles were being built up again in anticipation of the planned longwall move. <br /> The project to construct new support piers for the C 1 conveyor was mostly complete.
