Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA - Processing Waste R- Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Trapper Mine; permit C1981010,operated by Trapper Mining Inc. <br /> The inspection was conducted and the report and photos prepared by me,Robin Reilley of the DRMS. <br /> Graham Roberts,Trapper Mine representative was present throughout the inspection. Skies were clear. <br /> Temperatures ranged between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The air was calm, and dry. Coal and <br /> overburden were being hauled. <br /> PERMITTING ACTIONS in PROGRESS: <br /> o Permit Renewal 8 RN8 <br /> o Permit Revision 11 (PRII) is in the process of development with a proposal to open a C Pit <br /> depending on core samples. Coring for C pit has begun. <br /> o A TR is under consideration for dragline mining up to the lease limit in L Pit. <br /> OUTSTANDING MAINTENANCE <br /> INSPECTION <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> Activities in the L,N and I and J Pits were observed and appear to be progressing as permitted. <br /> Molly Brown casting spoil in L pit. Overburden was being loading in L Pit and transported. <br /> Pit floor to be at the west end of the N pit was in process of being raised to access Q seam. Some dust <br /> rose out of the N Pit due to hauling in the dry conditions. The highwall miner was idle at the time of <br /> inspection with three entrances open on the north wall of the pit. <br /> Coal hauling coal from J Pit was underway. I Pit is in process of stripping and topsoil is being stockpiled. <br /> Approximately 1/3 of Derringer pit has been backfilled and graded. Topsoil is stockpiled nearby. No <br /> topsoil has yet been placed. Topsoil was being hauled above D Pit. Knob has been removed at D Pit <br /> allowing for additional space to mitigate cracking in the vicinity. <br /> SIGNS and MARKERS—Rule 4.02 <br /> o Topsoil stockpiles observed were clearly marked with identifying signs. <br /> o The mine site identification signs observed at the main mine access point,(entrance from State <br /> Highway 13),was intact, and displaying all required information: mine name,operator name, <br /> address,phone number,DRMS permit number and contact information. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> Page 2 of 9 <br />
