PERMIT#:M-2000-050
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS:RAR
INSPECTION DATE:August 15,2022
based on the 110c boundary markers with the exception of the water being pumped from the pit and flowing
off the boundary in the natural channel.
Processing Waste: No processing waste was observed.
Roads: The short haul/access road is included in the permit boundary to the north. Given the sandy nature of
the material the road is not likely to be a source of sediment that could be tracked to a paved road.
Reclamation Success: No reclamation had been initiated at this site at the time of the inspection.
Revegetation: No revegetation had been initiated at this site at the time of the inspection. No noxious weeds
were observed.
Sediment Control: Sediment from breached berm and the slumping from the gravel pile appears to be
contained within the permit boundary.
Signs and Markers: The permit sign was properly posted and T-post boundary markers were observed to
delineating the permit boundary.
Permit Stipulations: There are no permit stipulations.
Storm Water MGT Plan: No oil or fuel spills observed. Stormwater drains to the pit and should infiltrate,
unless a high intensity storm drops significant rainfall in a short period of time. Also, as the pit is located in the
river channel, during rainstorms the channel is likely to transmit the rainfall and associated runoff.
Topsoil: A topsoil stockpile was observed at the south end of the pit on the east side. The stockpile appeared
vegetated at the time of inspection. Erosional features were observed on the topsoil mound.
PHOTOGRAPHS
i Arikaree
River
R
Currie Creek
Map 1: Location and terrain overview of Broken Spear Pit.
