SECTION 5.0 Topsoil Stockpile Locations
Trapper's approved permit(Section 4.9.2) specifies that CDRMS will be provided with map(s) illustrating
the location of topsoil stockpiles constructed during the previous year and the approximate locations for
stockpiles proposed for construction during the upcoming year (Map 1).
Table 5-1 lists all existing stockpiles with their identification nomenclature, coordinates (based on the
approximate center of the pile), acres, construction date and volume; which is updated annually.
During 2019, Trapper depleted topsoil pile A96-1 and portions of A97-2 and A98-2 for reclamation of
parcel F-B-19; depleted topsoil pile 18-5 and portions of 19-1, 19-5 and K2-15 for reclamation of parcel
L-AB-19. Trapper constructed two new topsoil piles during the 2019 field season. Piles 19-1 and 19-5
were constructed out of the 2019 Topsoil Stripping Project.
At the end of 2019, excluding stockpiles abandoned with the approvals of MR-155 and TR-94, there are
61 existing topsoil stockpiles at Trapper affecting 151.3 acres and storing approximately 3,082,519 cubic
yards of salvaged topsoil.
Presently there are no proposed approximate locations for new topsoil stockpiles in 2019. Trapper is
planning to utilize existing topsoil stockpiles and live haul stripping for the 2019 reclamation season.
GCR/BDN 3/20
[Annual Report\DRMSI9RPT\19TStext5-0]
