the surface for seepage when the water pressure is 57' of head or greater. This level of head
corresponds to roughly 8405' in elevation.
A monitoring zone based on Schnabel's recommendation is identified on the attached Bulkhead
Location Map. Upon installation of this bulkhead, CIVIC personnel will visually monitor the
ground surface along this zone for signs of seepage. The zone runs roughly 500' either side of
the bulkhead along the hillside face. Monitoring will take place on a weekly basis following
bulkhead installation for 90 days. If no seeps are identified in that time frame, monitoring will
reduce to quarterly inspections. Particular attention will be paid to the portions of the monitoring
zone running through Sunshine Canyon Road.
No workings extend from the bulkhead out along the seepage monitoring zone; all
Times/Wynona Mine workings extend back from the bulkhead in an easterly direction. Most vein
structures identified are parallel to Sunshine Canyon road, reducing the pathways that might
carry stored water towards the road.
Once the bulkhead is built an as-built will be provided to CDRMS in a follow up technical
revision.
