The weather was clear and dry.
A focus of the inspection was on the sites for which Phase I bond release had been requested with the SL-
15 application. Locations were recorded using the internal GNSS receiver of a Samsung Galaxy S I Oe phone
through the Esri Field Maps app.
The inspection was attended throughout by Garren Atchley (MCC), Dan Mackinnon(OSMRE), and Dan
Gray (USFS).
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE:
Longwall mining was in progress in panel LWE14, at around cross cut 17 on the head gate.
Development mining was in progress in the SS4 headgate, between cross cuts 6 and 7.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS -Rule 4.15,Rule 3:
The sites inspected were reclaimed boreholes, drill pads and access roads situated on public land, at
elevations between approximately 8000' and 8600'. Table 1 shows a list of the sites inspected, with comments,
and their location is shown in Figure 1.
All boreholes had been successfully plugged, abandoned and marked. Pads and roads had been re-graded.
The surface had been left rough, spread with previously grubbed vegetation and blended to match the surrounding
surface contours. All reclaimed areas had been seeded, but it appeared that the seed had not germinated as well as
would be hoped in places (see table 1 for details).
A long road segment leading to E7-9 and E7-8 (shown in red on figure 1)had been reclaimed, but was not
included on the map or table submitted with the SL-15 application.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0
Page 2 of 21
