The lower slopes of this pile were <br />mostly covered with vegetation. <br /> <br />At Gob Pile #3, no puddles or other problems were observed. The operator was placing, spreading, and <br />compacting material at the west end of the pile. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3), Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6), Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />No significant problems were seen with the road to the portals, although some areas of the road may require <br />repairs of cracks in the next year or two to prevent larger problems. The hillsides above and below this road were <br />generally stable. <br /> <br />REVEGETATION – Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />Some weeds were seen around the site, including: <br /> Thistle on the soil pile next to Gob Pile #3 (some showed signs of spraying) <br /> White top on Topsoil Stockpile A <br /> Thistle on the slope below the B Portal pad <br /> Thistle at the storage area east of the D Portal bench (some showed signs of spraying) <br /> Halogeton at the high point on the road to Gob Pile #2 (approximately 500 feet east of the eastern portion <br />of the Prep Plant). <br /> <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />It appears that slumps have not moved significantly in the recent past. These include slumps by the B Portal and <br />by Curve Number 11 along the Haul Road. The Division recommends that these continue to be monitored closely <br />by BRL. <br /> <br /> <br />
