RECEIVED
Colorado Quarries Inc.
270 S. 15"St. J 9 2022
Canon City,CO 81212 DIVISION OF RECLAMATIdN
July 15, 2022 MINING AND SAFEW
Eric Scott
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1001 E. 62"d Ave., Room 215
Denver,CO 80216
Re: Black Obsidian Pit, Permit M-1987-026, Conversion Application CN-01, Materials for Third
Adequacy Response.
Dear Mr. Scott,
Enclosed please find updated and finalized application materials pertaining to the permit conversion
named above, in response to your letter dated April 8, 2022. We have modified the proposed 112c
permit area, which the set of revised maps now depict, and we have obtained current land ownership
and right-of-entry information, all of which is now enclosed for your review. Additionally, we are
including a geotechnical stability report, which guides the updated mining and reclamation plans, which
are also included as part of this application package.
Due to the extended series of submittals of new materials under this conversion application, with their
revisions,as well as other permit materials which have existed for many years in this permit file, this
current submittal package includes a complete set of exhibit materials,to make the permit file current
and inclusive. It is hoped that this will assist in the Division's review,as well as more clearly inform other
readers of this 112c permit conversion.
The new materials have been placed for public review with the Custer County Clerk and Recorder, and
the receipts are also enclosed.
Please contact us at the address above if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Bill Tezak
Owner,Colorado Quarries
Encl: 112c Application form, Exhibit materials.
