y • SECTION 06100 -TIMBER AND WOOD MATERIALS <br />PART 1 -GENERAL <br />r 1.01 Description <br />The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materiels, tools, equipment and perform all <br />r work and services necessary for or incidental to the furnishing, installation and <br />assembly of all wood members and accessories required for service bridges to the <br />outlet control towers. All wooden structures shall be constructed in accordance <br />r with the drawings and these Specifications. <br />2.01 Related Work <br /> A. Concrete for footings and supports: Refer to Section 03300 CONCRETE. <br /> B. Reinforcing Steel: Refer to Section 03200 CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT. <br /> C. Angle Iron Connections: Refer to Section 05100 MISCELLANEOUS <br /> METALS. <br /> D. Bolts, Lag Screws: Refer to Section 05100 MISCELLANEOUS METALS <br />1.03 Shop Drawings and Submittals <br />• <br />r <br />' <br /> The Contractor shall submit three (3) copies of shop deta>Zs for the Engineer <br />s <br />. approval prior to fabriction. Shop details shall be submitted on the following: <br /> A. Anchor Bolts <br /> B. Steel Angle Iron Attachments <br />C C. Hangers -Simpson Model LU 210 (or equal). <br />1.04 <br />L Inserts and Anchorages <br /> Furnish all inserts, anchors and fasteners which must be fastened to timber, con- <br /> Crete, or steel, as necessary for this work. <br />1.05 Field Measurements <br />L The Contractor shall verify ell dimensions in the field prior to the preparation of <br /> shop drawings or fabrication. Discrepancies shall be brought to the Engineer's <br /> attention. <br />L 1.06 Job Storage <br />All wood products shall be covered with black plastic to prevent damage from the <br />L . elements. In addition, all wood products shall be supported off the ground in such <br />manner as necessary to prevent damage to the members. <br />06100-1 <br />
