All review and comment periods as provided in <br />the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br /> <br />The applicant, Snowcap Coal Company, Inc, proposes to continue underground coal mining <br />operations on land located approximately 5 mile(s) North of Palisade, Colorado. There are no <br />proposed revisions to the approved mining and reclamation plan, nor is there any proposed surface <br />disturbance outside of the currently approved disturbance area. The permit area is further described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />T10S, R98W, 6th PM Sections 26, 34, and 35; T11S, R98W, 6th PM Section 2 all in Mesa County. <br /> <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />map(s): Cameo. <br /> <br />Snowcap Coal Company, Inc. has submitted an application for renewal of the Roadside Portals in <br />accordance with Rule 2.08.5(2). No coal extraction is anticipated, and only reclamation and <br />maintenance activiites are anticipated during this permit term. This renewal application does not <br />propose revisions to the approved mining and reclamation plan, nor is there any proposed surface <br />disturbance outside of the currently approved disturbance area. <br />
