8) Will groundwater be encountered and/or surface water intercepted or disturbed(check one):
(Ljj Yes or(JZI)No.
a. If yes, please describe:
9) (Optional) Please provide additional information about the Mining Plan:
Mining will commence in mid July 2022 or as soon thereafter as this permit is approved and will
continue until the completion of the State High 115 Reconstruction Project. The completion of this
project will be in the summer of 2024. Reclamation will be complete just after the project is
raise .
Significant Disturbances to the Land. This pit will be mined frurn East to West staiting at the
Eastern boiter just inside of the bern, being used as a perometer eroSi011 BMP, tyelly into the
plan which lQW-pie- a 2-8-0- ft - 6-0-0- ft wide depression ( not square please see mining and reclamation
maps) No prod ict stockpiles wall be reql lared since the protli ict will not be processed only loaded
into tricks Topsoil will be stocknil .d in the Northwest corner of the nit as well as being utilized to
build compacted berms along the down stream perimeter of the pit for erosion control purposes.
No overburden material is anticipated based off of soil borings but if encountered it will be stockpile
next to the topsoil and re-spread following mining. Approximate total size of disturbance: 10.24
acres (please note this area is not rectangular, see mining and reclamation maps for exact area
and dimensions)
Water Regulation Cumpliance. The depth of ground water is anlidpated to be givater than 200 ft—
be'ow the bottom of the proposed pit excavation (calculated using we" 24653-M!1, dry att 24ft deep--
at elevatien 6210 ft). Ne wa4eF Will be used in ffeeessing. (see attaehed exhibit 1).
Processing- 1he deposit will not be washed' crushed, or processed On anyway on site It Will be
loaded into trucks and hauled away Thus no wash ponds or chemical agents will be required. This
area is virgin land and no refuse (physical or chemical) is anticipated to be encountered.
Drainage and Hydrologic Impact Control: This site is located across a flat pasture, there is no
concern of any impacts from upland drainage due to the gradual nature of the existing topography.
e tinal topography of the pit will rain to the same exist mg depression as the current pasture
land. A 2 foota compacted earthen berm will be constructed from existing topsoll and over ur en
aluny the Western, Eastern, and Nuithern borders of the pit in order to provide Urusion arid
sedament control. This proposed BMP is in compliance wit'i tl ie erosion and sediment requirements
Proposed Future I and I Ise- This property will re - i jeland following mining operateons All
final slopes.will he 4-1 or shallower to allow livestock and ranch vehicles safe access. See
reclamation plan (map) for final stable configuration.
Commodities: The only commodity to be produce from this site is earthen fill for CDOT project
22903.
