EXHIBIT E RECLAMATION PLAN
There are no plans at this time to change the future use for
the mined areas except as discussed below. Currently the post
mining land use is recreational and Industrial. The new area on
the south will end of Lake Marjorie will have the same designa-
tion being recreational since only a small area will be above
water. The Concrete Batch Plant site, Asphalt Batch Plant site
and Lake Robert parking area and concrete pads will remain as
Industrial areas when reclamation is complete. No work will be
needed on these areas . The approved reclamation plans, including
resoiling, and revegetation methods will remain unchanged from
what is currently approved in the existing permit. McAtee will
use the revegetation and resoiling methods approved in the
original application and the Technical Revisions, on the new
areas.
The Reclamation Plan Map shows how the permit area will be
reclaimed. The text below describes how the new area will differ
from the existing areas and the maps show the areas to be re-
claimed.
Revision 3 - Reclamation on the Amendment Area
The Amendment area will be reclaimed as an extension of Lake
Marjorie. Much of the area will be water surface with the slope
being graded 3:1 from 5 foot above the water line to 10 feet
below. From 10 feet below the water line to the lake bottom the
slopes will be 2:1 or less . The area above water will be
resoiled and revegetated using the methods explained in the
existing Reclamation Plan and seeded with the approved seed
mixture.
The distance from the Lowline Ditch embankment along the
ditch to the permit line is 50 plus feet and that embankment has
been raised and extensively armored since the 2013 flood. In
addition, the return flow structure immediately east of this area
was widened and armored to allow excess water to return to the
river instead of being capture by the ditch north of that return
flow diversion. This work was done by the ditch company to
prevent flooding from damaging the west bank of the ditch in the
future.
The Proposed plan in the amendment area is to have at least
a 25 foot setback from the permit line to the top of bank and a
dredge mining setback of another 22 feet from the top of bank to
where dredge mining will stop. This 22 feet wide band will then
be cut/fill graded to leave the final slope around the lake. The
total mining setback from west bank of the ditch will be no less
then 97 feet. The armoring method and plans proposed in the Bank
Protection Plan dated 8/20/2018 for the east shore of the East
Lake area will be applied to 925 feet of the east bank of the
amendment area in Lake Marjorie. This armoring will be installed
once mining begins on that area. An estimated 2, 175 cyds of
concrete and asphalt rubble will be needed on this section.
MCATEE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY RIVERSIDE PIT
PERMIT#M-1976-056 REVISED 6/17/2022
