2. On Page 3 of the NO1 form, the Prospector indicates the location of the site as Latitude N 39°46'
27.80923', Longitude E 254°10'32.23333". Please review the longitude information and revise
the NOI application accordingly.
Upon reviewing the location of the site, the coordinates of the site should have been reported as Latitude
N 39° 46' 27.80923", Longitude W-105' 49' 27.84".
3. On Page 3 of the NOI form, the Prospector indicates the land ownership as private. Pursuant to
Rule 5.1.2(d)(iv), please provide documentation of the legal right to enter to conduct prospecting
and reclamation, for Owners of Record described in Rule 1.6.2(1)(e)(i). This may include a copy of
a lease, deed, abstract of title, a current tax receipt, or a signed statement by the Landowner(s)
and acknowledged by a Notary Public stating that the Prospector has legal right to enter to
conduct prospecting and reclamation.
Documentation proving the legal right to enter to conduct prospecting and reclamation is enclosed as
Attachment A. This documentation consists of a Land Patent from the United States of America to AMAX,
Inc. as further detailed in Exchange Survey 377, and a quit claim deed from AMAX, Inc. to the Climax
Molybdenum Company for said land. The coordinates above are located in the NW'/4 SE %of Section 19
in T3S R75W which is located within the Climax Molybdenum Company land detailed in Exchange Survey
377. Also included are pages from the most recent Notice of Intent to Hold Mining Claims and Payment of
BLM Maintenance Fee for the Mining Claims H1-H26 (Puzzler Claims) that Henderson filed this NOI to
explore.
4. In Section lll, Item 6G—New Roads, the Prospector indicates a length of 850 feet for the new
road. In Section Ill, Item 5, the Prospector states the access road will be approximately 1,700
feet long. Please review the length of the new access road and revise the NOI application
accordingly.
After submitting the NOI, the avalanche danger in the area decreased enough to allow a site walk. Based
on this new data a shorter approach has been developed. An updated map showing the new road is
enclosed as Attachment B. This new approach has a road length of 688 feet and replaces any distance
stated in Section III, Item 5, and Section III, Item 6G.
5. In Section lll, Item 61, the Prospector states drilling will be accomplished by using a truck mounted
drilling rig. Pursuant to Rule 5.1.2(1), please provide a description of the type of drill rig to be used in
the proposed drilling operation.
A final drill rig has yet to be identified as they are all currently dispersed on other exploration projects
elsewhere. However, the final rig is likely to be either a Christensen CS4002 or an Atlas Copco CT20.
6. Pursuant to Rule 5.3.3(1), upon filing the Notice of Intent to Conduct Exploration, the person shall
provide Financial Warranty in the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00)per acre of land to be
disturbed, or such other amount as determined by the Office, based on the projected cost of
reclamation. The Prospector provided the required financial warranty in the amount of$2,000 with the
NOI form for the purpose of filing.
The Division calculated the cost for an independent contractor to reclaim the prospecting disturbance
based on the information provided by the Prospector in the amount of$17,000. A copy of the
estimate is attached for review.
