June 6,2022 RECEIVED
Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety SUN 10 2022
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 DIVISION OF RECLAMATION
Denver,Colorado 80203 MINING AND SAFETY
To Whom it may concern,
In regard to the reclamation and bond release at the Nucla coal mine as concerns my property, following
are some issues I have tried to resolve through informal conversations.
The overflow from the water screening structure that was installed in the CC ditch immediately east of
my property, is directed onto my property down a steep embankment, and causing erosion. I have
suggested a solution, but to no avail.
The bypass road constructed during mining operations was removed, despite my wishes and requests.
A driveway or access from County Road BB has never been replaced.
An irrigation pipeline has been installed, I believe 12"diameter,that did not exist prior to mining.
Irrigated area existing prior to mining have not been re-established.
I appreciate your consideration of these matters.
Sinc Z
ely
Dirk Richards
P.O.
