then highwall mining will commence along the highwall in the western direction. <br /> Highwall operations were ongoing in the Collom Gulch area.Active coal hauling from highwall mining was <br /> occurring to the Collom coal stockpile and crusher area. <br /> Current spoil removal was occurring the western portion of the Collom Pit. Spoil was being removed by truck and <br /> shovel operations and being placed at the Collom Temporary Spoil Pile. <br /> REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15 <br /> Vegetative Cover;Timing: <br /> Vegetation along the West Pit was observed.Vegetation along newer reclamation parcels has become more <br /> established and density along older parcel continues to increase as relatively consistent precipitation events have <br /> occurred in the previous month. <br /> SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br /> Rill maintenance was observed in the drainage of the Final East Pit Ditch. The rill documented in the Division's <br /> May inspection was also inspected for maintenance.The rill is located along the lower reach of the Propsect Ditch <br /> and runs parallel to it.The rill begins along near the intersection of the Prospect Ditch and an associated furlough <br /> ditch.The rill cuts through a low spot and runs downslope and eventually intersects back into the Prospect Ditch. <br /> Talking with the mine representative,this maintenance item is on the schedule for repair.As discussed in the <br /> previous inspection,the rill is stable and maintenance will occur at the head of the rill as they generally self-heal <br /> based on experience at the site.No issues were observed. <br /> f <br /> Head of rill near Prospect Ditch.
