Stoddard Pit
Weed Control Plan
Stoddard Construction LLC will operate the site referred to as the
"Stoddard Pit" The site currently is used as rangeland by Mr. Stoddard
and has a healthy cover of grasses and few weeds .
Recognizing the presence of state-listed and county-listed noxious weeds
in the general vicinity of this project area and as required by the CO
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, we have developed the
following weed control plan.
1 . Weed species will be monitored and identified by taking an inventory
of the property every 3 months.
2. Best management practices (chemical treatment, tillage, burning,
etc.) will be decided upon depending on severity, species type and
location of noxious weeds.
3. Levi Stoddard, who is a Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator
licensed in the State of Colorado, will oversee the weed management, and
as necessary , treat the site for noxious weeds, using either aircraft, or
ground sprayer.
4. Results of any treatment or application will be assessed and
adjusted as necessary so as to prevent noxious weeds from spreading,
and , if possible, eliminate any further invasion.
Some noxious weeds that will be checked for will include:
Showy milkweed ( Aisclepias speciosa)
Diffuse knapweed ( Centaurea diffusa)
Leafyspurge (Euphorbiaeslua)
Canada thistle( Cirsium arvense)
Russian knapweed (Acroptilon repens)
Yellow toadflas (Linaria vulgaris)
Saltcedar (Tamarix sp.)
Hoarycress (Cardariadraba)
Bursage, skeltonleaf (Ambrosiatomentosa)
Perennial pepperweed (Lepediumtatifolium)
