Comment/Objection Narrative* <br /> I object to the proposed gravel pit in Hinsdale County,which is close to my home. My comments and objections <br /> follow: <br /> Does the State Permit require an environmental impact study? Has one been completed? <br /> What will be the impact of the aesthetic degradation on our pristine mountain views? <br /> I believe the impacts identified below must be addressed before a permit approval is given. <br /> How does this industrial use fit into a residential, recreational,and agricultural area? <br /> What reformations must take place to provide adequate mitigation of the environmental impacts the mine will <br /> have on the wildlife and the roads? <br /> Wildlife studies indicate that when operations like this become active,wildlife leave the area and do not return. <br /> Fish and river life will be affected by run off from mine operations due to sediment which clouds the water.
