Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA - Processing Waste R - Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Trapper Mine; permit C1981010,operated by Trapper Mining Inc. <br /> The inspection was conducted and the report and photos prepared by me,Robin Reilley of the DRMS. <br /> Graham Roberts,Trapper Mine representative was present throughout the inspection. Skies were cloudy. <br /> Temperatures ranged between 60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The air was calm. Coal was being hauled <br /> and roads were being watered. Permit Revision 11 (PRI 1)is in the process of development with a <br /> proposal to open a C Pit depending on core samples. Coring is proposed to begin in summer 2022. C Pit <br /> is foreseen as being as deep as N pit with high wall mining taking place on the north highwall and surface <br /> mining occurring to the south. <br /> PERMITTING ACTIONS in PROGRESS: <br /> TR129,ARR report <br /> TR130 Mine limit changes in I and L Pits <br /> MAINTENANCE ITEMS: <br /> 1. Horse Pond holds substantial sediment and will be dredged in 2023. <br /> 2. Soil in reclaimed areas appeared moist with some riling that will be addressed as the soil dries out <br /> this summer. <br /> OUTSTANDING MAINTENANCE <br /> None <br /> INSPECTION <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> Activities in the L,N,I and J Pits were observed and appear to be progressing as permitted. The <br /> Derringer Pit, slated for backfill and grading in 2021 was observed. Reclamation of the pit is now <br /> proposed for 2022 with backfilling and grading to begin in June 2022. Topsoil in Derringer Pit may not <br /> be placed until 2023. Cracking and instability was noted throughout the Derringer Pit area. The Molly <br /> Brown was removing overburden at the top of the L Pit. Water was being pumped from the north end of <br /> the pit floor. <br /> I Pit has mostly been dug out and additional stripping for expansion(TR130),has occurred. I Pit west <br /> will is proposed to progress through the Buzzard d drainage with the PR. 11 expansion. No equipment <br /> was operating in the I Pit at the time of inspection. High wall mining is scheduled to resume in the pit in <br /> summer of 2022.
