1. Improvements and associated water control features created on existing SMC roads
CR 23R (and within the ROW)will be left in place. Improvements will be constructed
in a manner such that future maintenance requirements are avoided (e.g., no metal
or engineered culverts). This ensures that the area can gradually return to natural
conditions, and that SMC will not have any outstanding maintenance to perform
once Tarsis reclaims the project area.
2. Temporary access spurs from existing SMC roads will be removed; drainage will be
re-established within the ROW.Temporary alignments within the ROW will be:
a. Recontoured
b. Ripped as needed
c. Reseed following ripping/recontouring with State/County approved seed
mix and agreed upon distribution rates
d. Spread brush/cleared material to discourage re-disturbance.
7. Reclamation Seed Mixture to be used will meet State/County requirements. Project
operations on nearby BLM ground are required to reseed with the following seed
mix/distribution rate.Tarsis requests that the same reseeding mixture be approved for
reclamation throughout the project inclusive of the COSLB section:
This mix is formulated for broadcast seeding. If it«-ill be drilled, cut the lbs-ac for each
i species in half.
PLS
Common Name Species Name Variety Mac
Galleta Hilaria jamesii Viva. florets 2.47
Winterfat Krascheninnikovia Janata VNS 0.25
Four-wing sahbush Atriplex canescens VNS 0.25
Indian ricegrass Achnatherum hymenoides Rimrock 3.71
Blue grama Chondrosum gracile Alma 0.48
Salina Wildrye Leymus salinus VNS 1.03
Needle and Thread Hesperostipa comata VNS 2.6
Western Wheatgrass Pascopyron smithii Arriba 2.5
Total per acre 13.35
Supplemental Project Operations Information
Air Quality Plan
No impacts to air quality are expected for this Project. No burn permit or burning will be required for
this Project, and all vehicles will comply with exhaust regulations.
Vehicle traffic on roads will be intermittent, and dirt work operations will be limited in footprint and
duration. Construction equipment(dozer, excavator, etc.) used for the building and reclamation of drill
pads, temporary access routes and existing access route improvements are slow moving and not
anticipated to generate significant dust. In the event of dusty conditions, operators will distribute water
over utilized project access routes on a bi-weekly basis.
