The proposed project will allow for surface mining on 142.61 acres of vacant land.
After reviewing the maps and documents for the proposed site, CPW does not foresee
significant impacts to wildlife or wildlife habitat. To our knowledge there are no known
Threatened or Endangered species within or in close proximity to the project site. We would
suggest that any ground disturbance be reclaimed to native grass species, and recommend
using NRCS seeding guidelines. CPW recommends that all fences are constructed of wildlife
friendly materials and guidelines. Information regarding wildlife friendly fencing can be
found at cpw.state.co.us.
Once again, thank you for the opportunity to comment on this issue. Please feel free to
contact our office at 719-530-5520, if you have any questions regarding this application.
Sincerely, /f
/Ji:Arago'n
Area Wildlife Manager
Colorado Parks and Wildlife
pE'CO
Bob D.Broscheid,Director,Colorado Parks and Wildlife-Parks and Wildlife Commission:Robert W.Bray•Marie Haskett•Carrie Besnette Hauser
John Howard,Chair-Marvin McDaniel•Dale Pizel-James Vigil,Secretary•Dean Wingfield-Michelle Zimmerman,Vice-Chair•Alex Zipp 1,• R
