Exhibit S
Designated Mining operation Environmental Protection Plan
Limited Disturbance Permit (110(2))
April 7, 2022
Environmental Protection Plan
This project will not remove any volume from the land, disturb acid producing rock, or use
any chemicals. The only risk to the environment is an accidental spill of diesel or gasoline.
Diesel, (fuel for the backhoe),will be transported in a pickup daily in a 250-gallon tank or
less. It will be stored on site in the transport vehicle but not in the mine area. That vehicle
will also contain 5-gallon containers of gasoline for the wash plant, oil for the motors in 5-
gallon jugs, and grease guns with replacement cartridges. Hydraulic fluid will be stored in 5-
gal buckets.
If the equipment has any noticeable leaks while being parked, then a rubber tub will be
placed under that piece of equipment to collect that material until the equipment can be
repaired.
Along with that will be containers of kitty litter to soak up minor spills. That material will be
picked up along with the contaminated soil, stored in 5-gallon buckets for the day and
transported to the nearest landfill. Fueling for the tractor will take place on flat ground a
reasonable distance from any wet areas in the pasture. The wash plant will be fueled with a
small hand-held gas tank much like fueling a lawnmower.
In case of a spill of 250 gallons or a sheen on the water the Colorado response team will be
notified.
All waste generated on site, will be collected and stored in bear proof containers and then
taken to a dump site or landfill weekly. Sanitary waste will taken care of by portable toilets or
a trailer on site.
