E-2 shows the volumes of topsoil and overburden required for reclamation and the material
volumes that will be stripped and stockpiled.
Table E-2 Reclamation Volumes
Material Available on Site Requirements
Phase Phase Topsoil Overburden,
Areas Stripe. ;. ` a) Required BackfUl Required
ages
1 25.8 ( 17,240 124,170 4,060 21,300
2 1 11.3, 2,430 18'aw
3 14.4 9,660 69,560 2,600 ! 20,190
4 16.1 1t?7911 ,;,, ; 2,900 191$00
Totals 67.6 45,290 326,080 11,990 80,090
2. Topsoil Replacement
Approximately 4 to 6 inches of topsoil will be stripped and stockpiled prior to mining. After
backfilling and grading is completed during reclamation, topsoil will be replaced to an average
depth of 5 inches in all disturbed areas outside of the lakes and on the topsoil zone of the lake
slopes. It will be directly placed by loaders and haul trucks. All topsoiled areas will be disced to
aid in root penetration.
3. Haul Roads and Access
All internal haul roads will be graded and seeded to fit the post mine land use. The access haul
road from CO-65 will be left in place to provide access to the processing site.
4. Reclamation Timetable and Sequence
The sequence and timing of reclamation can be seen in Table E-3 below. The reclamation
schedule is dependent on the rate of mining which will fluctuate due to market demands. The
operator will reclaim the site concurrently with the progression of mining to limit the total
disturbance.
Table E-3 Reclamation Timetable
Description Time Required
Develop and rune gas 1 /' ,,, 5 yeas
Develop and mine phase 2 while reclaiming previous 5 years
phases
Delta Paving Gravel Pit E-2 Lewicki&Associates
Apri12022
