A reservoir is immediately to the west of the affected <br /> area; this reservoir was developed as part of the reclamation plan for the existing permit M-2004-051. <br /> Soils in the affected area are mapped,according to the Soil Survey for Weld County, Southern Part(USDA-NRCS <br /> 2022; accessed via https;//websoilsurveY.nres_usdagovfappNVebSoil5P".aspy,), as one soil type—Aquolls and <br /> Aquents, gravelly substratum.These soils are deep, level and nearly level, poorly drained soils formed in <br /> alluvium. Located on floodplains along major streams throughout the area,this soil type is found in areas that are <br /> subject to flooding. The water table is at or near the surface early in spring and recedes to as deep as 48 inches <br /> late in the fall.
