Tarsis and its representatives will distribute a general monthly project plan notice to BLM, DRMS and <br /> San Miguel County to notify of project plans,traffic expectations, and other relevant information.Tarsis <br /> will provide direct project coordinator contact information for questions and/or coordination purposes. <br /> Prior to project initiation,the following local entities will be notified: <br /> 1. SMC Planning Department <br /> 2. SMC Road and Bridge <br /> 3. SMC Sheriff's Department <br /> Traffic Control Plan <br /> Tarsis will post signage at the entrance to the project area (intersection of CR 23R and HWY 141) <br /> indicating project traffic notices and presence. Safety, Caution and Controlled Area signs will be posted <br /> at intersections as needed, as well as entrances to occupied drill pads. Drill pads will be treated as <br /> exclusionary access areas during project operations, and will be fenced and/or signed off to all public <br /> access. <br /> Daily anticipated project traffic will consist of: <br /> • Shift change—(2)44 pickup trucks or ATVs leaving drill site, (2)4x4 pickup trucks or ATVs <br /> entering site <br /> • Water delivery—1 transfer of water using water tuck per 12-hour shift(to drill site,from drill <br /> site) <br /> • Drill site inspection, drill core pickup,geologist onsite—(1) 4x4 pickup truck or ATV <br /> • Intermittent construction equipment(dozer, excavator)for drill pad development, road <br /> maintenance, reclamation <br /> Quality Assurance Plan <br /> The Project actions and tasks are designed to minimize surface, ecological, cultural and visual impact to <br /> the proposed project area. Operators, operator agents and contractors will implement regular <br /> monitoring of project parameters,from water usage and road conditions,to concurrent and post project <br /> reclamation. Implementation of Tarsis's, contractors' and agents' best management practices for active <br /> drill programs includes regular monitoring of drill sites and access routes for safety and cleanliness, and <br /> documentation and reporting of any deviations. <br /> Weed Management Plan <br /> All efforts will be made to avoid the spread of non-native and/or noxious flora. Actions related to <br /> noxious weed abatement will be guided and directed by the BLM, DRMS and San Miguel County.These <br /> actions may include: <br /> • An initial cleaning of all project vehicles and equipment prior to entering the project area <br /> • Cleaning of project vehicles and equipment prior to leaving the project area <br /> • Treatment of existing noxious weeds at proposed drill pads and within SMC road ROWS (to be <br /> performed by SMC Vegetation Manager) <br /> Other Permits Required for this Project <br /> 1. San Miguel County 2-Step Special Use Permit <br /> Status: Received—Conditional approval document attached <br />
