The application was submitted by Elk Ridge <br />Mining and Reclamation, LLC on December 15, 2021 for the New Horizon North Mine. In <br />accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br /> <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request <br />a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of date following the <br />first publication of the public notice by the Division in the San Miguel Basin Forum. <br /> <br />The surface mine is located approximately 2.5 miles Northwest of Nucla. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Portions of Sections 25 and 36, T 47 N, R 16 W, N.M.P.M. <br /> <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review at the Montrose County <br />Courthouse, 300 Main Street, Nucla, CO 81424. A Copy of the Division's “Proposed Decision and <br />Findings of Compliance” is available at Montrose County Clerk and Recorder, 320 South 1st <br />Street, Montrose, CO 81401.
