EXHIBIT D
RECLAMATION PLAN
This Reclamation Plan is for a proposed mining operation known as the Gunnell
#8 mine in Gilpin County Colorado, .4 miles west of Nevdaville Rd. JACK D TABB,
LLC attaches this Mining Plan as "Exhibit C' for a Limited Impact(110d) Operation
Reclamation Permit. Application No. M-2021-068 with the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety.
Overall Reclamation Summary:
JACK D TABB, LLC. Owns The Gunnell #8 Mine which is located in the Nevadavilie
area of Gilpin County, CO.
The site has almost no existing topsoil on the ground where mining is proposed.
The area of interest is almost entirely covered by abandoned historically Mined
Waste Material, leftover from mining done in the late 1800's and early 1900's, in
the approximate amount of 250,000 tons. This is common throughout Gilpin
County. Many hundreds of tons of such material exist nearby. The impacted area
is under 1.5 acres.
We recognize that to clean up this property, the dump will need to be reclaimed,
not only is it an eyesore but also poses serious environmental damage due to
acidic mine water run-off.
We are following the recommendations directly made in these publications:
• "EPA Record of Decision R08-88/019—Central City, Idaho Springs", 1988
• "Best Practices in Abandoned Mine Land Reclamation: the remediation of
past mining activities", 2002
We are implementing a voluntary program to manage and remove the
abandoned waste rock pile. Various scenarios were analyzed to address the
abandoned waste rock pile. Based on economic feasibility, scenarios other than
removal were rejected.
