The application was submitted by Coors Energy <br />Company on May 7, 2021 for the Keenesburg Strip Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of <br />the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are <br />providing notice of this proposed decision. <br /> <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request <br />a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of date following the <br />first publication of the public notice by the Division in the Fort Lupton Press. <br /> <br />The surface mine is located approximately 7 miles North of Keenesburg, Colorado. The permit area <br />is further described as follows: <br /> <br />All or portions of Sections 2 and 11, T2N, R64W; and Sections 25 and 36, T3N, R64W; 6th Prime <br />Meridian. <br /> <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review at the Keenesburg Town Hall, <br />140 S Main, Keenesburg, CO 80643 . A Copy of the Division's “Proposed Decision and Findings <br />of Compliance” is available at Weld County Clerk and Recorder, 1402 N. 17th Avenue , Greeley, <br />CO 80631.
