M.A. Concrete Construction, Inc.
2323 River Road
Grand Junction, CO 81505
970-243-3221
3/28/22
Colorado Division of Reclamation
Amy Yeldell
Environmental Protection Specialist
RE: 32.5 Road Gravel Pit, Permit No. M-2009-035, Proposed Bond Calculation
Dear Mrs.Yeldell:
M.A. Concrete Construction, Inc. is requesting a recalculation of the proposed increase of bond based
off of the following dimensions. The south pit has an entire shore line of approximately 4350 linear feet
(If). Of the 4300 If, approximately 3500 If has a slope of anywhere between 3:1 to 5:1. Approximately
550 If has a slope of 1:1 to 3:1. The remaining 300 If has yet to be excavated with an average bank
depth of 10 feet. The material needed to slope this area is on site. No cobble rock has been placed
around the bank edge at this point. The cobble rock needed for the bank edge is roughly 250 cy or 375
ton. 375 ton of cobble furnished and installed runs about$30/tan which equals$11,250.
We are discussing with the property owner the possibility of amending some of the reclamation plan.
We are awaiting some discussions with Parks and Wildlife along with Mesa County on potential long
term uses before we can submit some of the minor changes to the reclamation plan. We hope to have
these recommendations by July 1, 2022.
Sincerely,
Andy Az2rraga/
Project Manager
