Page 11 <br /> 6.4.11 EXHIBIT K — Climate <br /> Provide a description of the significant climatological factors for the locality. <br /> The following climatic data is derived from text and tables extracted from the 1980 Weld <br /> County Soil Survey — Southern Part. <br /> Table 1 gives data on temperature and precipitation for the survey area, as recorded at <br /> Greeley and Ft. Lupton for the period 1951 to 1974. Table 2 shows probable dates of <br /> the first freeze in fall and the last freeze in spring. Table 3 provides data on length of <br /> the growing season. <br /> The average winter temperature is 290 F. Average summer temperature is 700 F., and <br /> the average daily maximum temperature is 870 F. Of the total annual precipitation of <br /> nine (9) inches, seventy-five percent falls between April and September, which comprise <br /> the growing season for most crops.
