Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other R - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Colowyo Mine conducted by Zach Trujillo of Colorado Division of <br /> Reclamation,Mining and Safety(DRMS)on March 29 -30,2022. Tom Fry of Colowyo Coal Company <br /> (Colowyo)accompained the inspection. The weather for inspection was clouldy with snow and rainy conditions <br /> throughout the inspection. Due evening rains and morning spring snow, ground conditions were extrememly <br /> muddy and a limiting factor in access to portions of site. High temperatures during the inspection were around <br /> thirty five degrees fahrenheit. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> All records are kept on site at the Colowyo Mine's office building. Please see the Division's Availability of <br /> Records checklist at the end of this inspection report for more detailed information. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 <br /> Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); <br /> Steep Slopes 4.14.2,4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> Active backfill and grading activities were occurring in the West Pit.Portion of the remaining highwall and pit <br /> area has been filled and begun to blend into the current backfill of the West Pit.A dozer was operating upslope <br /> and pushing backfill during the inspection. While not observed,excavation work has occurred along the old rock <br /> crusher pad above the West Pit.Material from the pad is used for additional backfill material and to bring to AOC. <br /> The regraded areas of the West Pit that is part of the SL-21 Phase I Bond Release application were visually <br /> inspected.While not associated with SL-21,these areas have also received topsoil and seeding.No issues were <br /> observed. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year. 6 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year 3 <br /> Page 2 of 10 <br />
