Cazier, P.E. <br /> <br />RE: Hale Pit aka Earl’s Pit - File No. M-1981-121, Atticus Land, LLC <br /> Surety Reduction Request Application (SR-1) <br /> Requesting Reduced Bond for Completed Highwall Reduction <br /> <br />Please be advised that on March 28, 2022, Atticus Land, LLC, whose address and telephone number are PO <br />Box 88010, Colorado Springs, CO 80908; (206) 419-4533, filed an application for a/an Surety Reduction <br />Request (SR- 1) to M1981121, Hale Pit aka Earl’s Pit, which is located approximately 6 miles Southwest of <br />Calhan, Section 24, Township 12S, Range 63W, 06th Principle Meridian, in El Paso County. <br /> <br />The request states: “All required high wall slope reduction has been completed. The only remaining <br />reclamation activity is revegetation of less than 1.5 acres of disturbed area.” <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for May 27, 2022. Written comments or objections to the application <br />may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Timothy A. Cazier, P.E. at the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) <br />866-3567 x 8169. <br /> <br />Comments or objections should be submitted within fifteen (15) days of this notice to be considered in the <br />application review process. The Division is required to provide a thirty (30) day period following a decision <br />on the release application to allow for appeals to its decision. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
