Introduction <br /> The Wellington Cattle Barrow Pit is accessed by traveling south on an <br /> old railroad grade that is located approximately 3.9 miles South of <br /> Divide, CO in Teller County at an elevation of 9,298 feet. The Wellington <br /> Cattle Barrow Pit will mine gravel and will be limited to a 10- acre area; <br /> therefore, this application is for the Limited Impact 110 reclamation <br /> permit. The permit boundary is shown on Map Exhibit D. <br /> Prior to this mining effort, the site was used for pasture. <br /> The depth of the excavation will be approximately 25-30 feet. Topsoil is <br /> expected to range from 0-4 inches with an average of 2 inches depth. <br /> The site is bordered by pasture north, south, west, and east. State <br /> Highway 67 runs along the westside of the permit area. Map A-1 shows <br /> the general location of the Wellington Cattle Barrow Pit. <br /> The surface rights are owned by Betty Newell. The mineral rights are <br /> owned by Betty Newell. Applicant Bruce Newell is the Executor of State. <br /> The permit area will include Mining 4.9 Acres. <br />
