EST 0 •
R"USH
_j
FA EXPEDITIONS,
WE FIND 'EM - YOU MINE 'EM
Re: Midwest (Poo)(ID#020904-2810-POO-2021-01)
To whom it may concern,
This letter is intended to explain our expected actions in the event that water seepage is
experienced during excavation of the portal.
These actions are based on the following observations and assumptions:
• Wells and water sources in the nearby area indicate current levels below the elevation of
the portal excavation location.
• The historical documentation of the site does not indicate the presence of water during
its previous operations.
• During the previous excavation operation in October 2021, no signs of water were
indicated. Additionally, the main portal being excavated consists of a railway with piping
and timber constructed underneath the tracks. This piping and timber construction
appears to function as a method for draining water from deeper in the workings. We did
not encounter any sign of water or moisture in this piping or timber. This is a reasonable
indication that water runoff or seepage is not occurring in this location and will not be an
issue.
The most likely incident involving water will be a slight indication of moisture as material is
excavated from the portal. This will most likely manifest as damp or wet soil, timbers, and other
material.
Our actions in the event that water or signs of water are observed:
• Cease excavation efforts.
• Replace the material that was most recently removed to stop the source of leakage.
• Immediately advise Martha A. Williamson, District Ranger of the National Forest Service
and Lucas West of the Colorado DRMS to seek their input and guidance.
Sincerely,
Tate eft
Gold Rush xpeditions, Inc. °
385-218-2138
CC:
Corey Shuman (GRE, Executive Contact)
Jessica Shuman (GRE, Executive Contact)
Gold Rush Expeditions,Inc.®
385-218-2138 1 goldrush@goldrushexpeditions.com -331 Rio Grande Street,Suite 201,Salt LakeCity,Utah84101
