clean-up activities at fire and spill locations, and formal and informal reviews of the emergency <br /> and the emergency response plan implementation. <br /> Clean Up <br /> The General Manager immediately upon the successful conclusion of field response <br /> operations will perform evaluation of cleanup requirements at any fire or spill site.This <br /> evaluation will include the following considerations, at a minimum: <br /> • Type of material spilled. <br /> • Type of material(s) or structures affected by the incident. <br /> • Affected area (physical extent of contamination). <br /> • Physical configuration of the spill or fire area. <br /> • Personnel requirements and availability. <br /> • Equipment requirements and availability. <br /> • Disposal requirements. <br /> Review <br /> The final stage in any emergency response activity is a complete review of the circumstances <br /> leading to the emergency, all response actions taken during the emergency and post-response <br /> remediation activities. The General Manager will coordinate the requisite review and issue a <br /> report to corporate management summarizing the findings, including any necessary corrective <br /> actions.The Safety Director shall be responsible for preparing any requisite reports to the <br /> Federal Mine Safety& Health Administration.The General Manager will prepare any necessary <br /> five or thirty day post-incident reviews for distribution and review to corporate management <br /> and all relevant government agencies. <br /> 8.3.2(c) Designated Chemicals <br /> Three chemicals will be stored on site that aid in flotation. MSDS is provided in Appendix D. A one- <br /> month's supply of the chemicals will be stored on site in tanks at any one time.The reagents will be <br /> delivered in metal or steel drums and will be placed in a sea container designed for storage of bulk <br /> liquids. PAX is delivered in a plastic lined metal drum because it is a powder. The flocculant will be <br /> delivered in 50 lb. bags and will be stored in the sea container also. <br /> • Potassium Amyl Xanthate (PAX) is a sulphide mineral collecting agent in powder form. It will <br /> be used at a rate of 0.25 lb./ton. Approximately 2,250 lbs. of PAX will be stored on site at <br /> any given time. <br /> • Methyl IsoButyl Carbinol (MIBC) is a frother in liquid form. It will be used at a rate of 0.1 <br /> lb./ton. Approximately 900 lbs. of MIBC will be stored on site at any one time. <br /> • A generic anionic emulsion flocculent in liquid form will be used at a rate of 0.05 lb./ton. <br /> Approximately 450 lbs. of frother will be stored on site at any one time. <br /> 8.3.2(d) Response and Clean Up Material <br /> This list contains the potential equipment that will be on site that may be used in responding to an <br /> emergency situation. <br /> Medical equipment: <br /> 91 <br />
