EXHIBIT B- SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> This information provided in this Exhibit is intended to satisfy the requirements outlined in Section <br /> 6.3.2 of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board Construction Material Rules and <br /> Regulations: <br /> Items(a)-(c)below must be addressed to the extent necessary to demonstrate <br /> compliance with the applicable performance standard requirements of Rule 3.At a <br /> minimum, the Operator/Applicant shall include the following information: <br /> (a) a description of the vegetation and soil characteristics in the area of the <br /> proposed operation. The local office of the Soil Conservation Service(SCS)may <br /> provide you with this information as well as recommendations for Exhibit D- <br /> Reclamation Plan; <br /> See the attached NRCS soils report for the site as wells as the attached Savage and <br /> Savage Report for vegetation information. <br /> (b) identify any permanent man-made structures within two hundred(200) feet of the <br /> affected area and the owner of each structure. Each structure should be located on <br /> Exhibit E-Map; <br /> Permanent man-structures located within 200' of the affected area are: <br /> • PDC Energy: 2 oil and gas wells,flare stack, oil and gas storage tanks, and 2 <br /> flowlines <br /> • DCP Midstream: Gas Pipeline <br /> • Weld County Public Works: Weld County Road 44 <br /> • CAW Equities, L.L.C.: concrete ditch, house and outbuildings <br /> (c) a description of the water resources in the area of the proposed operation. <br /> Identify any streams, springs, lakes,stock water ponds, ditches, reservoirs, and <br /> aquifers that would receive drainage directly from the affected area. Provide any <br /> information available from publications or monitoring data on flow rates, water table <br /> elevations and water quality conditions;and <br /> The affected area is .7 miles south east of the South Platte River. The Western Mutual <br /> Ditch is located approximately 0.4 miles southeast of the affected area and a lateral of the <br /> Western Mutual Ditch runs approximately 0.2 miles east of the affected area. <br /> There is a concrete ditch owned by CAW Equities L.L.C. (the property owner)within 30' of <br /> the mine limit. This ditch terminates on the property. CAW Equities also owns a pond that <br /> is adjacent to the entrance. <br /> The site overlays the South Platte River alluvial aquifer and a map of water table elevations <br /> derived from on-site monitoring wells is included with this Exhibit. <br /> Section 20—Gravel Mine—MLRB 112 Permit Amendment Application <br /> Exhibit A-1 <br />
