(blue earth
SOLUTIONS
January 20, 2022 RECEIVED
E®
Colorado Department of Natural Resources
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety JAN 2 5 ZQ2Z
Attn: Mr. Peter Hays
1313 Sherman Street; Room 215 DIVISION RECLAMATION,
Denver Colorado, 80203 MINING &SAFETY-MINEFALS
RE: Technical Revision for City of Greeley
2511 Avenue Site, Permit No. M-2002-020
Dear Mr. Hays:
The following Technical Revision discussion and attachments are submitted on behalf of our
client, City of Greeley, for the 251h Avenue Site, M-2002-020. The Technical Revision is to
provide updated information regarding the 25`h Avenue Site final Reclamation Plan.
The 25`h Avenue Site is located in the City of Greeley (Weld County, Colorado) north of F Street,
south of the Cache la Poudre River, and between 251h Avenue and 351h Avenue. The 25`h Avenue
Site was created from amending portions of the Greeley West Pit(M-1977-081) in 2002 and again
in 2012 and currently includes approximately 208.2 acres.
Mining Plan
The revised mining plan from the approved 2012 Amendment shows mining occurring in the area
known as `Pond B'. This Technical Revision does not change the 2012 mining plan. Currently,
mining in the Pond B area has been mostly completed.
Reclamation Plan
The 25`h Avenue Site final land use is currently permitted for developed water resources and
includes lined below-grade reservoirs in Pond A and Pond B (see Exhibit F, Reclamation Plan
Map). This Technical Revision does not propose changing the permitted final land use. As
illustrated on the revised Exhibit F, Reclamation Plan Map,the purpose of this Technical Revision
is to add new reservoir infrastructure to the final Reclamation Plan. The currently approved
Reclamation Plan includes the Pond A below-grade reservoir (slurry wall constructed and
approved by Office of the State Engineer September 29, 2003) and construction of a slurry wall
around the Pond B mining area.To facilitate efficient operation of the existing Pond A below-grade
reservoir and the proposed Pond B reservoir, an interconnect pipe between the two reservoirs is
being added to the Reclamation Plan.
Blue Earth Solutions, LLC P.O Box 2427 Fort Collins, CO 80522 ♦ (970)227-2803
