paths of elk, deer, bobcats, turkeys and even the lynx that I've seen in the area.
Do we really want that in our Pagosa Springs?
Pagosa is a beautiful small mountain town. There aren't many places like it left.
We citizens and governing bodies should protect it and guard it from wreckless
exploitation. The scar that is left after they excavate a huge gash in the mountain
will not support reforestation for hundreds of years. Already these gravel pit
people have clear cut acres of pristine forest. Our town representatives and we
citizens, as stewards of the area, should not let this happen.
Please attend at least one of the Archuleta County Planning Commission meetings
at the County Administration Building— Meeting Room, 398 Lewis Street on
1/26/22 at 6 pm or on 2/15/22 at 1:30 pm and voice your objection to this Gravel
Pit.
Thanks for your concern. Bryant W. Lemon Sr.
