11
Exhibit D Mining Plan: On November 22, 2021 BLM awarded C&J Gravel our 2021
contract. This contract is for 35.43 acres, 3,008,247 tons of material over the next 5
years.
A. Site prep
i. Relocate existing bike trail in the center of the permitted area and reroute the trail
to be outside the mining area.
ii. Install warning signs and construct proper barriers around the mining area.
iii. Manage weeds as needed throughout the year.
iv. Sometime in the near future; "possibly mid-summer", we will start using our new
access though Zyme Rock Road to the roundabout on Wilson Gulch Drive. We will
also continue with traffic through our current access as well. See Map D7. We are
still currently working with engineers and such to build the design. The majority of
the dirt along with cuts and fills are in place. It will be around 2,700' long and 30'
wide. Of the 2,700' only about 1,800' will be in the affected lands. Parcel G,H,I all
belonging to Gilleland Enterprises. This road will remain after mining has finished
allowing Gilleland Enterprises access to their commercial property up top.
V. There will also be a new intersection off of Zyme Rock Road to get to the bottom of
the Gilleland Enterprises properties. In the next 1-2 years. See Map D7 for
"approximate spot" of intersection leading to the bottom.
vi. These roads will be used during our current process of mining and sells of
aggregate.
vii. Post mining the roads will remain in place and in use to allow access to the Gilleland
Enterprises properties for future commercial activities.
B. Earth moving
i. Establish storm water management to prevent erosion and sediment run off.
ii. Clearing of the permitted area will done in sections of 2-3 acres at a time.
iii. Trees and vegetation: Dozers and excavators will strip and grub vegetation. This will
be stockpiled for later use in the reclamation process.
iv. Topsoil: Dozers will strip and stockpile topsoil for later reclamation purposes.
V. Overburden: Dozers, loaders, haul trucks and excavators will remove overburden.
vi. Our current mining techniques have utilized a dozer knocking down the mining face,
leaving little to no vertical highwalls.
vii. Disturbance of lands may vary depending on: demand and material quality for spec
projects.
viii. Loaders will tram the material from mining area to the portable crushers for
processing of the material.
ix. After being sorted in the crushing operation, the various material will be stockpiled
for sale.
X. Areas mined to the shale will be backfilled with clean imported fill from outside jobs.
