I do not trust Acme Brick,
General Shale, and do not think these companies have any interest in protecting anyone else but themselves.
We have a chance to save this area, create awareness of past events that took place here, and protect this
area for future generations. Nestled between White Ranch and North Table Mountain where people feel
protected by the nature, have an opportunity to see animal migration, and where historic fossils reside are
literally within feet of the where the mining activity will take place should the DRMS approve. We need to stop
the mine and do something better with this land where everyone can enjoy it. Do we want to let a small crew of
mine operators devastate it for small profit for Jeffco?
Lastly, Denver Brick and General Shale(Which has not been mentioned anywhere in its plans to the Golden
Residents)is pushing for blasting. The northern portion of the property(Mentioned in the ODP at one time was
leased to the Flintlock Mine)which had no blasting many years go.Yet, Denver Brick has provided a massive
change to include blasting with 2022 with a study not surprisingly. Why is it on the same property years ago
when nobody lived here had no blasting, but now its okay? How is it possible to let blasting occur when there
are 1,000's of families who live here?Thank you for reading and I hope mining on the Hogback will stay a thing
of the past.
Permit Number*
Enter valid letter and then numbers, for example M1977999, M1999777UG or C1981201.
M1976007
Permitting Action Type
Select revision type or leave blank if comment pertains to a new permit application or NOI
Permit Type
