Technical Revision TR-7 approved September 16th, 2021, as a result of an on-site visit occurring
on August 23, 2021, related to a previously seeded 1 acre Test Patch area. Subsequent reports with
observations by D. Koetting, RK Hydro Seeding, LLC and C. Skerik, Strategic Metals Consulting, LLC.
Koetting reported that the results of that previously planted 1 acre Test Patch, were, at best, dismal.
Skerik, reported the same on-site observations. In essence the only surviving species of sixteen different
plant species appeared to be Canadian Wild Rye;the remaining, previously approved, fifteen plant species
failed to grow. Koetting noted that the Canadian Wild Rye appeared to be failing with no expectation of
long-term survival.Various on-site and laboratory analyses determined that the native pH and NPK values
were not compatible with the Test Patch Seed mix.Skerik inventoried the existing sprinkler system, feeling
the as built, would not accomplish the desired objectives.
Skerik and koetting jointly coordinated efforts to first establish an alternative procedural plan and second
establish a seed mix formulation that presented a higher degree of likelihood as to long-term survival of
seeded vegetation.
Technical Revision TR-7 issued September 16, 2021,amended previously approved plan as follows:
• Seed Mix:
Canadian Wild Rye — 10 lbs. an acre
Mammoth Wild Rye 8lbs an acre
Pautte Orchardgrass^ 4lbs an acre
• Conditioning:
Liquid Bio-Culture Soil Conditioner—2 gal per acre
19-19-19 NPK Liquid Fertilizer—4 gal per acre (half as slow-release Nitrogen)
Hydro Mulch—Aspen Wood Mulch —2500 lbs. per acre
Polymer Tacking Agent
Hydraulic Application—3-step process-Fertilizer and Bio culture separate from seed to
prevent Nitrogen from burning seed and allow product to absorb in ground then apply seed and
Hydro-Mulching with Polymer Tacking Agent.
Soil prep includes roughening slopes with hand tools as done previously as the slope is too soft.
• Equipment:
Sprinkler System to be installed
Tentative start date contingent on weather and material delivery
