QUALITY ASSURANCE PROJECT PLAN <br /> Sampling and Analysis and/or Remedial Activities <br /> Natural Soda LLC <br /> 3200 RBC Road 31 <br /> Rifle, Co, 816SO <br /> This Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) was prepared to supplement the SAP, EMP and/or <br /> remedial activities. The QAPP presents data quality objectives, sample control procedures, <br /> analytical protocols, and field and laboratory quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC). <br /> SAMPLE CONTROL AND FIELD RECORDS <br /> • Site name and location <br /> • Date and time of sample collection <br /> • Type of analysis to be performed <br /> • Preservation <br /> • Sample identification number <br /> • Project number (if applicable) <br /> Sample chain-of-custody procedures begin at the time the sample is containerized and labeled, <br /> and continue through transport, sample receipt, preparation, analysis, and storage, data <br /> generation and reporting, and sample disposal. A record of sample custody will be maintained <br /> in the field records, project file(s), and laboratory records. A chain-of-custody form will be used <br /> for transferring sample shipment to the laboratory. Upon transfer of custody, a member of the <br /> sampling team will sign the form and will note the date and time the samples were relinquished <br /> to the laboratory. <br /> All chain-of-custody forms received by the laboratory will be signed and dated by the laboratory <br /> sample custodian and returned as part of the data reporting package. The analytical laboratory <br /> will carry the chain-of-custody through the laboratory during the analytical process. <br /> D.1. Packaging Samples <br /> All samples must be packed so as to avoid breakage and prevent cross-contamination, <br /> according to the following procedures. <br /> • Select a cooler in good condition.
